Shatta, have I begged your bread; how does my financial condition become your burden? – Reggie Rockstone to Shatta Wale

On Adom TV FireChat yesterday, the Hiplife music genre originator Reggie Rockstone asked Shatta Wale, the African Dancehall King, over the air to answer a simple question about an allegation Shatta once made, that Rockstone is financially broke now than before.

Giving his submission on the issue the host Countryman Songo asked, below is what Reggie said.

“First of all, I have no issues with Shatta. He is my younger brother and Ghana’s Shatta.

“He has his opinion; I have mine.

“He said something, whether I believe him, is another thing.

“So, I will make it short.

“You (the media) have to ask him why he said that. Don’t ask me for the answer because I didn’t say it.

“After that, ask him again how he got to know I am broke, and if I am broke, how does it concern him?

“Secondly, you are singing, and I am also singing, how does my financial condition become your burden?

“Shatta, have I begged your bread? No, I haven’t.

“So you have to ask him – he needs to answer this. How does he know my bank account?

“My finances are nobody’s matter. Once I have not come to borrow money from you, I don’t owe you, so how do you talk about my money matters?

“This is a simple question and, no disrespect.

“This is the question that I want you to ask my brother.

“I have not seen him; If I meet him, I will ask him.”
