IF AN ELECTION CANNOT BE HELD ON SUNDAY, NEITHER SHOULD IT BE HELD ON FRIDAY
IF AN ELECTION CANNOT BE HELD ON SUNDAY, NEITHER SHOULD IT BE HELD ON FRIDAY

Mr Electoral commissioner, if our actions contradict and oppose what we do to upheld fairness at it peak, we end end up polluting, manipulating systems and results and if care is not taken, the fires of discrimination, cheat, brouhaha, conflicts, and division are fuelled, Mr Electoral Commissioner how come there was a compromise that, the election be held on a Friday whether run-off or main election? How many candidates made that concession? The majority of them? Are they all at peace with that decision? Or it was an imposed decision on them?
Mr Electoral Commissioner we all know the two dominant religious bodies on campus and their worship days, on Sundays we do see most Christians coming out in their numbers to worship, fixing an election on Sunday will never be fair for all and it would invariably pollute and manipulate the results. On the other hand of the issue, there's NO WAY and under no circumstance should we hold an election on Friday, knowing very well that, Muslims worship on Fridays on campus, that is not fairness, and if it goes that way, we indirectly abort fairness out of the system.
Mr Electoral commissioner, as an Activist, am declaring a total opposition on the voting date. Let something be done to revisit that consensus or whatever you call it, so no one feels cheated at the end of the day, am still in a startled mood, and don't understand why, none of the candidates have come out on the grounds of disagreement with the EC. Am making it clear to the student populace, if none of you see a loophole with dealings of the Electoral commission with respect to this elections then I suggest we visit an optician maybe for a lens of fairness.
Its about time our decisions produce a solace and a serene environment for all, you don't make decisions that are pregnant with wickedness, weaknesses, loop holes and expect us to bare with you and to keep mute. Activists on campus let's rise for what is right, the spirit shouldn't be dwindled. We expect more and better from the Electoral Commission
In conclusion, I stand to be corrected on what the reality of whole issue is.
