Ahmed M Muftaw ( Mufty); the leader we never expected

Winners never quits but quitters never win ; this is a popular saying use to motivate others never to give up.

This quote is directly applied to Ahmed Mohammed Muftaw (Mufty), he assisted H.E. Ali Jarah former SRC president of UDS Wa Campus during his campaign and subsequent win of the election.

Mufty was tipped to be the first appointee of Jarah but then he rejected that the offer looking at what he seeks to achieve. 

Mufty declared his intention to run for the SRC president portfolio along side Seth Duodu and other contenders.

The election and campaign was mainly Mufty and Seth Duodu with many set backs, false accusations, religiousm and tribalistic  politics fill the air, he made it to the run off and lost the elections.

That did not deter him from working and showing his leadership skills, he has served his faculty, association and NUGS Secretariat (local UDS Wa campus).

Mufty is a proud Founder of an NGO based in Northern region called CITI YOUTH, his NGO organized a massive clean up at Tamale Aboabo which witnessed the Mayor of Tamale attending and the Late Chief of Entertainment and youth leader of Tamale.

It is with his unique feature of never given up that at the maiden edition of UDS WA CAMPUS LOCAL NUGS EXCELLENCE AWARDS he received a citation in his honour, which read;

Winners rise whenever they fall or experience set back. This is why president Nixon said " A man is not down when he falls but when he quits after falling" . Your past failures and challenges have never limited your from pursuing your dreams.
Your ara a man of great destiny and potentials; true leader and inspiration.
This is why we believe so much in you.
Never relent and never quits.....
