Another suicide attempt hit UDS Wa campus ; Final year banking and finance student.

A final year student of university for development Studies Wa campus  in the early hours of today was found  in his room lying unconscious and was rushed to the University  Hospital by his friends.

The victim is reportedly  called Kofi Bless, this unfortunate situation happened after the  school released the results for the final year project. This is the second time this year that the school has recorded suicide case.

Kofi Bless is a final year student offering Banking and Finance together with a female friend called Mimi,
It is  allegedly Mimi  is the girlfriend to One Mr. Bernard Bawua who is the HOD ( Head Of Department, Banking and Finance,UDS) and also the project Work supervisor for the final years.

Sources close to Kofi Bless confirm that the victim borrowed an amount of 300Ghc from Mimi sometime ago and promised to pay but due to certain undisclosed problems Kofi were unable to  pay on time.

The girl  reported the case to Mr.Bernard Bewua to intervene for her to get her money.  Mr.Bewua from reports, invited Kofi to his office and confronted him to immediately do whatever he can to pay back Mimi’s money if he wants to Graduate happily.

From sources,  Mr.Bewua sometimes playfully tells Kofi in the presence of his colleagues that if he refuse to pay the money, He would not graduate, Kofi took it as a joke.

Heading to the time for the final years to present their project work, Mimi raised the issue again that she needed the money for feeding and other major things to complete her project, she later then  told the lecturer about Kofi’s unwillingness to pay the money. Kofi was invited again to Mr.Bewua’s office again on a Friday .

From sources, at the office in the presence of Kofi’s colleagues, Kofi was told by Mr. Bewua to go and bring his Parents and Kofi then promised he will pay the money on the following Monday because he has one guy who owe him and is ready to pay.

On monday the lecturer called Kofi several times on phone but the victim could not answer, because he was at the gym.

The lecturer told Kofi’s colleagues about this and described it as a disrespectful act.

Kofi then started receiving threat and warnings from Mr.Bewua. if  He refuse to  pay back the money “He will make sure he doesn’t graduate and will trail him on his Project Work."

Kofi could not  pay because the guy who owe him also failed to pay him. Kofi Bless, from our sources is an orphan who hustles with the help of his sister to pay His school fees. His supporting sister upon hearing this got fed up with the whole issue and did not bother to go the school on the invite of Mr. Bewua.

Kofi wrote apology letter and petitions pleading Mr.Bernard Bawua not to trail him, Friday's 28th June ,2019 the results was released and the Group members to which Kofi did his project work with all got a pass mark but Kofi only failed with 38% mark.
It is Alleged that Mr. Benard Bewaua Deliberately trailed Kofi Bless, From his colleagues, Kofi became depressed and so sad about his results because he cannot  graduate.

The following morning Kofi was seen lying unconscious in his room by some friends surrounded by some poisonous bottles. He was Allegedly trying to commit suicide.
He was rushed immediately to the Campus Hospital. He is currently under treatment at the University Hospital.
