Ghanaian Dancehall artiste Stonebwoy missed out on what would have been a historic win at the 2018 Grammy Awards.
A win by Morgan Heritage in the ‘Best Reggae Album’ category would have made the ‘Mama’ act the first Ghanaian to win a Grammy award.
The ‘Avrakedabra’ album by the legendary reggae group on which he is featured lost to Damian Marley’s ‘Stony Hill‘ at the awards event held on Sunday, January 28.
‘Chronology’ by Chronixx, ‘Lost in Paradise’ by Common Kings and ‘Wash House Ting’ by J Boog were the other albums in the category.
Stonebwoy became the second Ghanaian to earn a Grammy nomination for his feature on ‘Reggae Night (Global Remix)’ on the al8bum by the reggae group released on May 19, 2017.
