I will cause “havoc” if I don’t win any award at the 3 Music Awards- Medikal
Ghanaian Rapper Medikal has said that he will pull a “Shatta Wale” if he does not win an award at the upcoming 3Music Awards.
Medikal who has been nominated for five categories in the upcoming 3Music Awards namely; Music Man of the Year, Hiphop/hiplife Act of the Year, Digital Act of the Year, Video of the Year and Fan army of the year, stated that organizers should get ready for “havoc” if he is not awarded on the night.
Speaking on the Drive Time with Lexis Bill on Joy FM, yesterday, March 21st, 2019, the rapper stated:
“If I don’t win any award at 3Music Awards I will pull a Shatta Wale…my fans and I are coming if you know Medikal you know I am all about fun and entertaining but we are not only going to have fun but to also win awards,” he said.
In 2017, Medikal garnered seven nominations at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, yet failed to win none. He was teased and trolled on Social Media for failing to win in any of the categories he was nominated for, specially the “New Artist” of the year award.
The “Omo Ada” hitmaker has however vowed to repeat what dancehall act, Shatta Wale did in 2013, when he destroyed properties, hurled insults and wrote a diss song to the organizers of the VGMAs after he lost to Kaakie in the Dancehall song of the year category.
Medikal is set to perform on the night alongside Kidi, King Promise, Rocky Damuni, Joey B, Kuami Eugene, Shatta Wale, Akwaboah, and others.
The award show will take place on the 30th of March, 2019 inside the Fantasy Dome.
