Dear developers,
Day in day out we complain about bad leadership, corruption, mismanagement and more about our students Representative Council(SRC), the very first people we help in their campaign and elect them to affect positive changes, we believed so much and sympathized with them to the extend of risking our life and our lectures moving from one hostel to another at an odd hour just to make sure that our favorite candidate gets the opportunity to affect the changes we all wished for.
We go the extreme mile to hate one another, we bring division among ourselves especially the main election day and run -off, the incumbent is always at fault because we focus on the new change that would take place when our choice of candidate(s) emerged victorious.
All I want to say is, if we do not take active participatory in issues of our interest we will continue to complain day in day out.
Your parent (guardians) are optimistic about your future so do not let them down. Your mother who is toiling in the scorching sun at probably *Makola market* selling tomatoes or charcoal would continue to feed others through dues that you pay, your father(guardian) who has develop an unusual fears of receiving your calls whenever you are in school would continue to fear because your *OWN* colleagues use smart ways *(kalabuley)* to woefully collect money from you all in the name of associations *( departmental association presidents aligning with adminitrastors to force us to pay dues before verification)*
I beg your pardon, but I am with a strong conviction that we elected our leaders to help represent us and talk on our behalf in issues of difficulties and urgency. And now they are doing or would be doing things contrary to their policies or trust and confident we imposed on them.
No activist on campus can achieve whatever you want them to do UNLESS you take part in the activism - you are not the first to go to a university and would not be the last, remember the president or CEO could graduates with third class, first class and second class graduates may be working under him.
To my level 100s, find time and go through that handbook that was given to you on matriculation day - no one can intimidate you not even management.
I will admonish you all to be an active and good developers. You compromise on your educational rights when you decide to be passive student. And to the leaders, advance yourselves cum your leadership styles by engaging your constituents so that they do not feel neglected. Prove them you are servants to deliver base on their needs but not to squeeze and milk them through dubious means. Fight for a good cause and your followers would applaud you uncontrollably.
In summary, If all developers in UDS Wa campus do not engage in issues of their interest but rather depend on a few individuals to work hard and get their concerns up to management, it will always be the same - corruption, mismanagement, and bad leadership. We must change the narrative and the time is now!
Leaders your followers, followers your leaders. There is energy in synergy.
