BREAKING NEWS: KNUST Students BANNED from Sports Betting

The authorities of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology has banned sports betting among students on campus, Kickgh.com has learnt.

Students of the Kumasi-based University have been banned from betting on any sporting activity whiles on campus.

 

According to Kickgh.com sources, the authorities of the school have ordered the University Information Technology Services (UITS) to block all betting websites so then access with the school's WIFI will be impossible. 

 

The ban placed on sports betting on KNUST Campus was arrived after an academic board meeting on Thursday.

 

It was also been decided that the University or any of it’s organs shall not accept any assistantship in a form of sponsorship from any betting company henceforth. 

 

The School Representative Council (SRC), halls and the entire students are advised accordingly.

 

Per the new rule, any student found culpable will be rusticated for one year.
