Sarkodie asks gov’t to fund Okyeame Kwame’s ‘Made in Ghana’ project
Rapper Sarkodie is enthused about Okyeame Kwame’s ‘Made in Ghana’ project. ew months after lauding Okyeame for the project, he has gone ahead to ask the government to provide funding for it.
In a tweet Sarkodie said: “the new @Okyeamekwame project should be funded heavily by the government.”
Okyeame Kwame who was honoured by Sarkodie’s statement also replied: “Spoken like a true patriot!! Only the visionaries see!!!! True power is of the people!! Thank you.”
“Bro you are a good man . You love Ghana . And you are hopeful about the leadership but to tell you the truth adequate funding will be a pleasant but shocking experience for me . #madeinGhana,” he added.
‘Made In Ghana’ project is aimed at inculcating a sense of national pride, foster music tourism and expose indigenous music fusion.
It has 10 songs each of which mirrors the culture of the region it represents. It features 10 different artistes from the 10 regions.
Okyeame is preparing to release his album titled Made in Ghana. As part of the project he is dedicated to promoting things that are made in Ghana both on social media and his music activities.
Already he has two singles out – ‘Made in Ghana’, featuring Kidi and the new one ‘Bra’ which features Afriyie Wutah.
